flexible ducting
This is a basic description of how Air conditioning flexible ducting is made.
The first process is making the flexible ducting on a duct machine there are several different types and ways flexible duct can be made. The method I am explaining to day is on a preglued machine which has no drying of glue and less risk of problems with the flexible ducting falling apart. below is a picture of ducting that has been produced waiting to be sleeved.

Plain ducting awaiting sleeving
The second Process is making the Sleeve for the flexible duct.
The third process is to sleeve the duct this process is done by placing a sleeve over a metal cone on the end of the sleeving trough, the insulation is then placed in the sleeving trough where ducting is placed on top of the insulation and the flexible ducting is pulled trough the cone bring all 3 parts together the flexible ducting, insulation and sleeve.

the sleeving process where all 3 materials come together
The final Process is the packing, the ducting gets place in tubular cylinder called a packing bin squashed down from either 3metre or 6 metre length to a finish size of approximately 5oomm in length and then strapped or put in plastic bag.
